It’s not very often that a company has the opportunity to boast about successfully being in business for over 80 years.  Kay & Sons Inc. is fortunate to be one of those companies.

• Starting in New York in 1922, Kay & Sons Inc. began as a fabric business where we sold fabric to the retail and wholesale markets.
• In 1939, our business moved to Philadelphia where we continued to sell fabric and also began a custom drapery workroom.  For the next 25 years, along with the sale of fabrics, we manufactured custom draperies and specialty products for the designer and wholesale trade.
• In 1965, after successfully growing our customer base in the wholesale market, we began an aggressive program to compliment that growth with a full service “shop at home” program to the residents of the Main Line and surrounding Delaware Valley area.  At the same time we continued to be a resource for the home decorating community.
• In 1980 we built on our success in the residential marketplace by providing these same products and services to the commercial market while establishing ourselves as an unmatched resource to the commercial architectural and design community.

Today as a national leader in solar shading solutions, Kay & Sons Inc. offers our customers more than just window coverings.  Through merging with a successful group of industry experts, we now provide the same level of expertise and experience to the wall covering market with our acoustical fabric panels and stretched fabric systems.  Aside from offering a vast selection of “Green and Sustainable” products, Kay & Sons Inc. partners with our customers by managing their project needs, reducing their costs, and helping them provide added value to their customers.
